Well, after many weeks of large puddles, 5 days of snow, and lots of grey and dark…. HOT DAMN, WE HAVE SOME SUN!
I happened to have a chiropractor appointment this morning that happened to be about 4-5 miles away, so it was a perfect opportunity to enjoy the weather. I left a little early and took my time, got there early and meandered around the neighborhood where my chiropractor is (her practice is in her house), and then went in.
The appointment was great, and then I had another excuse to get on my bike – the 4-5 miles back home!
Tons of people were out, and I wasn’t taking photos of all of them, but there was this dad with his two daughters cruising along slowly, enjoying the sun.
When I got home, I still wasn’t done being outside, and my chain was feeling a little loose, so I flipped the bike over, tightened the chain, gave everything a good wipe-down, touched up a few paint spots where the paint had been scratched up or off, and left the panniers off so the paint could dry. Incidentally, I also learned how the Sturmey Archer shifters work, as I accidentally popped the shift cable out of it, and had to figure out how to get it back in properly :) Thankfully, it’s pretty simple.
Apparently this evening and the next couple of days are supposed to return us to our usual rainy spring, so I’m making sure to enjoy it now! A good reminder to take advantage of good things while you’ve got them!
Hope you’re all having a fantastic Saturday as well!
