Oh Sunny Day

It was so nice out this afternoon, I decided to throw caution to the wind, and ride without my trusty wool cap on the way home! :D I even managed to stuff it in my pannier while riding!

Oh sunny day

Seriously, it felt SOOOO nice to have some sun + not freezing temperatures. Any of you all get out and about today?

Yep,biked downtown for a meeting and then over to the Lan Su Chinese Garden, which is all abloom. Yesterday was a leisurely ride down the springwater to Reed college for a concert and art exhibit and stroll around Crystal Springs. Then beer and bites with bike friend. Sunny weather and springtime and bikes and blossoms = Portland bliss. Gotta grab it while we can!

Oh, I definitely got out today! I woke up and the forecast called for some rain, but I never got wet. And on my way home from work I was even wishing I was wearing sandals! I think I'm going to take a pair for the ride home on Wednesday.

Oh man, I've been really wanting to get over to the Chinese garden and take some photos as well – it's been too long since I've been. I'm not a fan of hot weather, but boy, the sun coming out a little really brightens my mood.

I got down to the bottom of the aerial tram this morning, and about a minute after getting on the tram, it rained for about a minute, and then stopped. I don't think I really saw any more rain the rest of the day – nothing major anyway. And it's supposed to just get nicer and nicer this week. I'll take some of that :)

This was the first morning that truly felt like spring to me. Other days have been nice, but still had a morning chill that required my smartwool hat, and chilly winds. I hope this is the beginning of a long trend!

Yes, indeed! It was windy today, but not cold, and it felt soooo nice. I would be happy if the whole summer just stayed sunny and 70-75. It's a nice dream, anyway :)

Didn't get out on Monday, but headed to Laurelhurst Park for a picnic lunch with my Sweetie to do some people watching. The sun was a welcome, old friend. :-)

Do they have the pond cleaned out and re-filled yet? That's going to be really nice once it's done – Laurelhurst is a great place to hang out. The sun is welcome, indeed :)

Good question! I couldn't tell. It was still green, but I was certain that it'd been cleaned out already? Of course, I can't remember what it looked like around this time last year. Yeah… sorry I couldn't provide more info.
