It’s been a week of progressions here in Portland. The week has progressively gotten sunnier, warmer and less windy. My wife and I have gotten progressively less sick. And it’s been one of those weeks when it seems like the people on bikes just keep coming.

Lots of people riding around casually, just getting where they’re going (and apparently road construction everywhere).

    emeraldsedai – I agree :) I can't recommend the Soma cupholder, but have not yet found any other alternative.

    Dave, I'm pretty sure that is a Dutch bike…yeah, the one holding the coffee. :)

    Hey Marc,

    Yeah, I thought it kind of looked like a Batavus or a modern Gazelle or something – had a chaincase and internal gears and whatnot.

    Cupholder would be nice for those bits of riding where you have to be in automobile traffic, it gets a little tricky riding one-handed sometimes. But for meandering the neighborhoods (or on the bike paths in the NL), just as nice to hold the coffee :)
